Eco Perks is a new way to earn credits every time you drop off unwanted items for re-use at either Crofton Park or Sydenham Community Libraries in Lewisham. The credits can be exchanged for a range of products such as refurbished laptops or PCs, TVs, drinks from the Community Library Cafés, or books.

You first have to register as an Eco Perks member –then you can start earning points for every item you donate. When you drop of an item at one of the Re-use centres, a member of Eco Communities staff will first check its condition and to see if it is in working order. Once we have done this your account will be credited with a number of points depending on the condition and type of item. Any items that are in working order will be re-sold at one of the Re-use centres. Those that can’t be re-used will be broken up and recycled, reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.

You can check your points account tally by logging on as a member. You can also see on this website what you can buy or how much discount you can earn for the number of points you have. You will also be able to see what donated items are in stock and available for purchase.  If you get one of your friends or family to sign up to Eco Perks you will earn an extra 10 points when they bring in an item to recycle – why not get started!
